Bareedo Platform is committed to empowering young people to become active, informed, and responsible leaders in shaping Somalia’s future. With youth comprising the majority of the population, their meaningful participation in governance and public life is essential for achieving sustainable peace, stability, and development.
Our work focuses on equipping youth—particularly those from marginalized communities—with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to engage in decision-making processes. Through leadership training, civic education, and advocacy support, we enable young people to voice their concerns, influence policies, and take on leadership roles within their communities.
By strengthening youth capacity and promoting their inclusion, Bareedo Platform contributes to building a generation of leaders who are committed to democratic values, social responsibility, and positive change.

Youth Leadership Skills & Mentorship Programs
We provide leadership, advocacy skills and mentoring for young people as well as teach them their legal and constitutional rights to influence the decision-making process and exercise their role as responsible citizens.
2,200 young men and women throughout Somalia are trained on leadership and advocacy skills. These young leaders are now exercising their role in shaping society. Some of them envolve in the country’s political structure and play an important role in decision making representating youth.
