Bareedo Platform is committed to advancing the full and meaningful participation of women in governance and public decision-making processes. Despite gradual progress, women in Somalia continue to face significant barriers—including social norms, limited access to opportunities, and underrepresentation in leadership spaces. Our work addresses these challenges by empowering women with the knowledge, skills, and platforms needed to actively engage in political and civic life.
Through targeted capacity-building programs, advocacy, and partnerships with women-led organizations, Bareedo Platform supports women to strengthen their leadership, influence policy processes, and contribute to more inclusive and representative governance systems. By promoting gender equality and amplifying women’s voices, we aim to ensure that governance in Somalia reflects the perspectives and priorities of all citizens.
